So here are some pictures I took from an 'unknown' train yard. Went out at night with Benj and all shots were taken using a tripod. All pics are also RAW and have been barely manipulated except for the minimal brightness/contrast adjustments. As I'm getting familiar with settings in-camera it pays to take a bunch of shots and get it right in-camera. Also starting to prefer this method shooting mostly RAWs than having to photo shop the hell out of pics. What you see is what you get.
Ben has been to this place before and has been chased by security. So we tried our best to stay out of view from the securities watch tower office thing. Also was freezing, frozen shutter fingers FTL. Shooting with a tripod is awesome went home and jumped online bought one straight away. Hanging for it to come !! these pics remind me of the exact pics ben has from his folio for uni. i guess it's coz its the same location LOL. but it's strange... they look EXACTLY the same. did u guys stand at the same exact spot? coz i swear if i didn't know any better i thought u woulda copied ben's pics and pasted haha. but u would never do such a thing would you :) LOL.

i like the photos esp 2 and 3, i think i am a fan of a diminishing point in the center of the photo...
still like the Ferris wheel the best tho!
Heh heh I’m a masochist I like “having to photo shop the hell out of pics” makes you feel like you’re in more control using your Photoshop skill rather than being reliant on your surroundings…
Owo… Your camera control is actually really strong for this post actually…(that’s good btw)
Mmm..., first picture is yummy >:D… I like the powerful contrast of the first photo and how there’s strong movement in this photo (makes your eyes travel around the photo), second one has a kinda symmetric feel to it for some reason (I’m not a fan but it works for some ppl like liz for example who appears to like the high depth of field and the diminishing point of focus that you can see), third is a strong image but one of the things that pull back is where the horizon is placed; since it’s near the middle it effectively cuts the image into two parts, the tracks and the sky. This limits eye movement what happens is that ppl asses the train tracks then the sky separately, you normally want to aim for a constant flow in a photo like the first one (crap that’s still so awesome…) for example the second one feels cut down the centre, fourth one is pretty… but is it a little bright or is that what your aiming for?
