it was a super hard decision to make it into black and white cos the raw i took had a really nice purple sky and the MCG and surrounding lights were really nice. I think the gamble paid of tho :)
Dave had two pics that he layered on top of each other to make this gorgeous pic... and did a whole bunch of other stuff that I don't understand.
But no one would know that cuz he's stoooOopid... he doesn't promote and explain all the complexity that he goes through to get us a shot.

Nice, nice, I like the two layers of light colours here they work really well (you can notice btw you can't get that effect with just one photo)… but since it’s so good there’s the little things that annoy me… so I have a bone to pick, =3 You know the MCG light behind the wheel it’s still got colour you can’t notice when it small but after looking at it awhile it’s a little distracting cuz blue light +red light= purple and purple contrasts with the yellow ish orange light so yeah… (also warm colours ‘pop’ while cool colours recede) You can also see a little of this on the trees at bottom of the wheel.
To get rid of them… the trees at the bottom can be clone stamped quite easily as for that mcg light that’s a bit of a problem… you could clone stamp the whole pole and clone stamp the ferris wheel lights back and smudging here and there, but that would take ages an you would be a little bit of a masochist perfectionist if you went for this option… What you could do is use the colour replacement tool (right click the brush/pencil tool), it won’t kill the light but it will make it more subtle and preserve the luminosity which is a nice bonus, then there’s also the burn tool you could try out but that might make it a little messy…
Also, as the artist you have the right to decide how your work is viewed, e.g. if you think the best look on this is 50% of the raw image you make it that size, use Ctrl+Alt+I right at the end and take a look at what size gives your picture the most justice, realise that what we see as the audience is what you see when the picture on Photoshop is 100%. I shrunk the picture to 60% and the lines became sharper the slight cloudiness of the lights were masked.
Uh… This is quite long… =w=” I’m not bagging the image it’s just that it’s so good I want it to be perfect cuz it’s so close to it, please take this comment constructively =S. Now for what I should have said at the beginning… What gets me most about this picture is the colours on the supporting poles of the ferris wheel there subtle colour changes and the effect of it really stands out for me, it amazing and looks great. It’s amazing what you’ve done there. Also the arrangement of the two light sets are great, each blue sent of lights is complemented with the red lights creating a nice balance in the wheel.
